SOKKIA Planix 6 [3651-61] Roller Digital Planimeter

The Sokkia Planix 6 Digital Planimeter is a high-grade digital planimeter that measures regular and irregular shapes on 2-dimensional maps, plans and drawings. It measures elongated and irregular shapes as well as straight lines.  Precise measurements are displayed on the LCD screen as the roller scans, eliminating the need for manual calculations or chart references.  Its accuracy is better than +/-0.2 percent and it reads and displays area measurements in square centimeters or inches.  Plus, there are user control features. This measuring device is perfect for surveyors, contractors, engineers, designers, architects, and other professionals that need to assess diagrams of regular and irregular shapes.

Measuring Regular and Irregular Shapes
The Planix 6 digital planimeter provides accurate measurements of any shape including rectangular, curved, elongated, or completely irregular.  Use the magnifying lens to trace the contour of the diagram.  As you trace, the Planix 6 automatically scales and displays the results in square U.S. or metric units.

Accurate Measurements
The Planix planimeter provides results that are accurate to better than +/-0.2 percent, ensuring measurements are reliable.  Take advantage of its accuracy by taking any measurements you need from maps, plans, and drawings.  Calculate dimensions of lakes, building lots, parks, and any many other structures or topography.  It can measure and displays area, scale, sum, and average.

User Controls and Preferences
The Planix 6 digital planimeter allows you to select scale preference from the various U.S. or metric options and accumulate them as you trace your map or plan.  However, you can opt to pause or reset them.  There is even an average function that allows you to display the average measurements in the accumulated memory and the ability to control the decimal place shown on the screen.  These features are handy for tailoring measures and results to your specific preferences.

The Sokkia Planix 6 Roller digital planimeter automatically measures to scale as well as calculate averages and add results.  You can also choose to let measurements accumulate, hold them, or reset them to zero.  It provides cordless operation for up to 30 hours.  To save power, there is an auto shut-off feature that activates when the unit is idle for more than 3 minutes.  This device comes with a hard plastic carrying case, AC adapter with an internal NiCAD rechargeable battery, user guide, and a 1 year limited warranty.
